THINK TWICE BEFORE ACTING

Some of us, in some situations act immediately when faced with problems or challenges. Sometimes we argue or enter into a fight with our friends or people without considering/seeing things in their own direction/position.
I read a story about two classmates Felix and Philip, who got into an argument. They were called to explain why they started the argument, Felix was convinced that “he” was right and Philip was wrong and Philip in the other hand was just as convinced that “he” was right and “Felix” wrong. The teacher decided to teach them a very important lesson.
She brought them up to the front of the class and placed Felix on one side of her desk and Philip on the other side. In the middle, she placed a large, round object. She asked Felix the colour of the object, Felix without hesitating said “black”, then the teacher turned to Philip and asked the same question. “it is white” Philip replied. Another argument started between Felix and Philip again.
The teacher then asked Felix to go stand where Philip was standing and Philip to where Felix had been. Now, she asked Felix what the colour of the object was. He had to answer “White”.
The object was with two differently coloured sides, and from his viewpoint it was black and the other white.
Relating the story to our lives as human, we should try looking at problems from the other persons view in order to truly understand his/her perspective because the say “two wrongs do not make a right”.
         Life is all about learning.
